As soon as my helmet cam arrives, we will hopefully be doing it as well as different camera views-not just helmet cam.

Yeah Joe's spiderjackery was so well done it must of sold at least one spiderjack, i'm sure if you can do a nice Ropewrenchry vid maybe 2 people will go out and buy one.

Yeah I'm already planning a spiderjackery type video, just need to a) find the right tree (possibly a plane i have my eye on or a 100ft beech) b) Good weather and light are required c) get my other cameras up the tree and in position for filming and people to use them well. work and reccy climb is one thing but planning is required for a good film. But I'm on it.

I'm using 11mm blaze and like it. Reduced some 35m beech today. When descending my cord was heating up. I clipped a bight though my d ring and spare crab. Descended on that and the wrench and hardly used the knot. It also stopped.all that slime from the rope pooring down my sleaves in the rain.

Matt, can you video a reduction on the rope wrench? I'm really struggling to get the concept of a reduction on srt

Ok quick n00b question. Say I have my TIP. I want to ascend up a vertical stem some way away from the TIP, (using DRT I would find it easy), how would you ascend? When you have to use both feet for balance say. Hand over hand 1:1? Thats full body weight, not 2:1 in DRT obviously :)

Ascending in mid air is obviously easy, with the pantin etc. Just cant get me head around this.

Are you saying you want to go above your TIP? You can do it on say pollard regrowth by chocking the stem and clipping you're line in with a revolver. Your TIP is then above you again. This would be considerably safer than stropping into the stem, choking the stem with a sling and standing in the sling and advancing with alternate slings choked off.

YOU SHOULD NOT CLIMB ABOVE YOUR ANCHOR POINT!
