Top tips as ever chaps, thanks.

 

Attachment wise I have been clipping in the tether into the top hole of the HC with an oval crab, but can't help thinking there must be a neater way?

 

I'm jangling more than Jimmy Savile as I ascend at the mo.

 

What sort of tether do you have Mark....? If it only has 1 loop on the pulley end try it on a pinto instead of hc... Reduces sit back and clutter. Need a wide biner for this set up though, Petzl william was the solution for me... Tried rock o & isc fixed pulley initially but that was not neat enough.....

Just make sure that you move your Pantin foot perfectly vertically and it will work perfectly.

If your leg is at the slightest angle it creates an elbow on the rope at the Pantin. It is this 'elbow' that stops it working smoothly.
