I'm fine when I'm climbing the rope with the pantin. It's just when I'm spiking the tree and tending the slack. It's just a one hand motion with drt and lj. I'll try the LOTS. I do need the removable pin. Dont have it in oz here yet. Do you reckon you could have a solid tube between lj and rw so The spacing is correct all the time. Rather than wrapping things around your neck

If your tending slack on spikes its the same tending motion as DRT pretty much.

A spacer would still have to be tended, but with less attention(maybe). I just find(most probably because I'm in experienced at it) that when climbing around on a slack line I won't just jump onto the system without giving it a quick check or tweak. I don't like having to look at my gear when I climb it's distracting. Just an idea, what's carbon fibre like with friction heat?

Perhaps I should mention a few months back a mate of mine had a fall of about 6 foot when a small branch hit the RW and sent him into free fall. He was lucky as there was a metal spiked fence below him. Made him think. Not 100% sure how it could have happened?
