i would think a good example would be street trees, similar species, size and situation. And there are 450 of them, wide open back streets around a town centre, buses, schools, nurserys and businesses will all need to be considered.

The job is 30 miles from your yard because local contractors wont want the job. Payment terms are 30 days, there will be penalties if job is not finished for a given date.

Lets say 70 year old sycamores, limes and chestnuts.

Pollarded 3 times before at diferent stages, the last time obviously the highest point 15 years ago.

Services such as gas, electricity, sewage will determine fells as will leaf minor in chestnut and street lamps, power lines, complaints( no light, cars covered in lime residue et) will determine the canopy desicions.

The council are going to cover signage, letter drop, notice in local paper and let you tip all arisings at their depot, less than 3 miles away.

working time will be from 9.30am to 3 pm

felling and dismantling is the same thing, its up to you to get it on the deck safely.

general pruning doesnt exist i dont think, it will be reduction in %.

crown lift will be 3m then 5m. And epicormic removal, hedge cutter wont be allowed.

so fell will be £350 p vat

10% reduction £120 pvat

20% crown thin £150pvat

epicormics £25 p vat

hope this helps

This must be a trick question, Could the instructor, assuming this is a actual class room

assignment be any more vague?. If all of the other students come in with different numbers will the instructor add all of the results and divide that number by the number

of students, to come up with some sort of Average?. With far to many variables this is more than impossible to even begin to answer.
