Why not just cut loads of crosses in it with a blunt chainsaw, expecting the stump to disappear in about 6 weeks? Seems to be the norm round here....

I did this redwood stump with my Danequip grinder earlier this year, took about 4 hours non stop grinding taking it turns:

I expect you've done it by now but Carl, at Oakover, has the 8Tonne tracked one that Greenmech built.
