Felling a dead tpo'ed tree??

Do they state where the tree has to be re-planted?

 

Normally you replant near to where the removed tree was or often the LPA are happy for it to be any where on the same site, they just want to know where.

We had a small (12" DBH) diseased Elm beside a main road and the council said due to TPO could not take down until the bark fell off in case of bats. At this stage the tree was dangerous so sawn down within 60 seconds at dawn on a Sunday. 8 different people involved with one dead tree! Not been told to replant but will look at something interesting for the future people to view.

So it could be possible that the trees were felled then replanted along the edge of the said field where someone may not really have noticed them?
