its not always what something costs it,s what it can earn you how much would you get for 200t,s after 2 years hard work

as against how many of them ama would you have gone through

If your after saving money get em some silky saws save loads on price of saw no fuel and no oil

No experience of the AMA, but I know the komatsu was every bit as tough as the 200T.

If its take downs and big cuts, the 200 wins hands down, but for lots of small cuts, I see a saw that costs a 1/3 of the stihl being worth a punt.

Hmmmm dunno about the Ama saws, but years ago for line clearance I had the little Tanaka top handle for pruning from the cherry picker. It was half the price of the Stihl at the time, admittedly less powerful, but it was reliable, and when all the saws got stolen from the lock-up, they left behind my tanaka (obviously had taste) As Ed says, if I was buying for crews, for line clearance, I think I'd consider the cheaper options available, for the very reasons he listed. Its so easy for some people to reverse over a saw, drop them from height and so on, why give em good saws to break?
