I would recomend getting your HGV if you don't already have it.It will make you much more attractive as a prospective employee and give you a back up in the slack times.

 

Your atitude will count so much more than your gender in this industry.I have met/worked with/and helped train many climbers.The climbers attitude is whats important.

Most climbers are built well i dont think the average women has the same endurance as the average male climber.

 

Dont get me wrong there are some girly boys out there.

 

Im sure some women can climb and do a acceptable job i just dont think they can match the speed of men day in day out.

 

Men are at a huge physical advantage strength counts working muscles hard all day every day.

 

But damn i would still love to work with female climbers so you got your work cut out women but most definalty welcome into arb.

hi all, im a newby. Just passed cs30,31,38,39 and 41 after leaving a 13 year army career behind. Cant decide whether to become a free lance climber, work for a firm or start my own business. Any advice would be much appreciated and id love to hear from any other females in the industry to find out how they are getting along.

 

I really like the climbing side of work, is this sumat i could go straight into (free lance) or would you lot recommend that i start in a firm as a groundy first to gain experience. ???

im up for signing back on and going back to pirbright lol 6 months we could be on selection at the school what do you think hahahaha cant you go do abit with neil ?

Where are you in surrey i may have a bit of work for you as i run my own small company nr guildford farnham area.

 

I have worked with a women climber/groundie and she was better then alot of men i have worked with.Get some esperience like 4 years even before going on your own,Dont start a company in surrey there are way to many as it is. Pm me and i might be able to help you out.
