How to fix Xmas tree lights in trees

As the title says

Any thoughts on how to fix lights to the branches without using cable ties that dig in and callous over

Usually they are in for 5-10 years and have seen the demise of many a tree locally:thumbdown:

gaffer tape bodged in from a mewp LOL

 

then in the new year you can the cut out the lights with a craft knife before the tree goes through the chipper

 

oh just read the last bit 5 years bleedin hell you lot want yer moneys worth ,,

 

must be from Yorkshire ..............:thumbup:

 

 

answer plastic fixings coiled / Spiral they'll expand with the tree+
