After having a real job chipping some willow the other day and the discharge spout on my Jo beau getting constantly clogged I was thinking of ways to alleviate the problem, my first solution was a bigger engine so the drum didn't slow down when chipping, but then I seemed to remember a bearcat model with two engines one was a blower, so question is if I fitted a tube pointing up the chute would a blower solve the problem? Opinions please? Cheers mike

yes it works, i welded a pipe onto my camon and fit the blower to it, great for really wet conifer as that sometimes blocks it.:thumbup1:

Where did you put the pipe? Nearer the top or nearer the bottom if that makes sense. Cheers mike

Around the area where the chip leaves the fins on the flywheel and start there journey up the chute, i will try and get a picture for you during the week

The chute on my vermeer 620i was awsome! don't get me wrong it was a big one and took 2 people to take it off, but it had a wide oblong exit it could throw chip really far, which is more than what i can say for tw150
