If the scores are actually through the plating then it is scrap. If the damage is aluminium transferred on to the cylinder then it can be removed.

I had similar and had to fit the Chinese top end due to the cost of the OEM part. Wasn't that impressed with the cylinder but for a homeowner it would be a good machine!

Im to have a go at cleaning it up I've already got a piston knocking around somewhere. Then new gaskets and it should be good might give it a lil muff mod as I do love to upset the neighbors 😂.If I have to fit a am cylinder I have found some German ones I'm willing to try out.

Been given a good running stihl ms361, was hoping to change the quick release/quick tension adjust to a standard side casing and standard chain adjuster but unfortunately the inside casing is slightly different and there is nowhere for the chain adjuster to fit :(. Will still be perfect for a slightly bigger groundsaw when I get it back together. ImageUploadedByArbtalk1485370174.300012.jpg.f9cfe2cd4e48ef775319b149a54f8349.jpg

Can anyone help with a guide bar bolt that has lost its hold thread gone in saw body . do I heli coil or is there some type of resin etc that is strong enough to hold the bolt in on a stihl ms 210 thanks

I think that the standard collar screw is part no. 1123 664 2400.

It might be worth trying the oversize D9/M8 collar screw for the MS231etc. That's part no. 1123 664 2405.
