Can someone help me ???

I have a MS 280 which is in my bench at the moment !

Problem it's starts fine and so as I go to cut a log it dies after cutting 3/4 way through log every time ! Don't understand !!

I have cleaned carb, diaphragm and all filters, it's all seems clean and in good condition !!

Any thoughts ??

Check the wires from the coil to the choke switch. They are connected to the autotune connected to the high speed circuit. If it is broken, the saw will run very rich and flubby.

Other than that, it sounds like it is running out of fuel as the saw is put under load so make sure the fuel line is OK by pressurising it and also check the gauze strainer in the carb as if this is blocked, there will be enough fuel for idle but not enough for full blown running. Worth looking at the fuel tank breather as well.

Changed the av rubbers on my 200t this evening after breaking one yesterday, one day of using a 201t was enough! The other 2 rubbers were shot as well it had been feeling a bit floppy so tomorrow it should be good as new. Just need to replace the stop and earth wire now so I don't have to keep using the choke to turn it off.
