Happy Christmas to all the guys on this thread, techies and guys with saw problems.

Good wishes to all the members I have done work for be it servicing, porting or just getting you out of trouble.

Hope all is well in your homes and wishing you all a Happy, Safe and prosperous New Year:thumbup:

Merry xmas spud.

youll be getting me out of trouble again soon no doubt.

I have two huskys that need major open engine surgery, one needs a new crank shaft because the big end bearing has disintegrated.

never really worked on them before and I already feel like im gonna struggle getting the cases apart.

hope santa brings the new hammer that I wanted :laugh1:

You have three options: -

OEM Stihl

Chinese non OEM

Source suitable alternatives

Seals are relatively easy to change so it's generally a toss up between the aftermarket ones or original.

Try Tesgol (Sawbits) - he generally does full bottom end kits for a tenner!

You may be able to get other seals to fut but they don't have the metal surround for support.

thanks i just wanted to know if there was any avoid seals etc thanks spud cheers all the best merry chrismas

Had a bit of interest when I mentioned I had a Dolmar 123 in decent condition kicking round my workshop - It started in six pulls after being layed up for a couple of years.

Here it is in all it's glory - better than I remembered and WOW - what an exhaust:lol:

happy xmas spud keep up the good work nice pair of saws you have there:thumbup::thumbup:
