What's on your bench today?

My second concrete saw - enjoying these. All this chainsaw learning very transferable. Sadly neglected TS350 - sat in a barn for 4 years when it was allegedly running.. Non-runner - no spark, will investigate tomorrow. Thought it was points but apparently electronic unit under the flywheel. Maybe there's a shortsomewhere or the spark plug fitting is faulty. Clutch seems seized as blade turns when flywheel rotated. Haven't looked at the carb yet. I'll be keeping this so nice little project. If anybodys been here before with a TS350 any pointers appreciated. Exhaust off and piston looks immaculate - 95psi compression - not sure where that stands with one of these.

I converted this mower to make it easier to cut round corners. I have to say it was not 100% successful !!

blade rotation when turning flywheel is likely to be seized clutchdrum needle roller bearing (they run on a small bush not direct on the crank ) or one of the clutch linings has become detatched and jammed or possibly clutch spring broken

have known them ingest the screws that secure the airfilter trumpet to the carb

make sure the horseshoe shaped wire on the choke slider is fitted and in the correct position as it knockes the choke off ( they can jam on)

they are a bit of a fiddle adjusting the idle, the screw is at a strange angle accessed through a hole

units made before april 1985 did have points and condenser ignition

and don't you just love them chinese engines - they drove me round the bend a few months ago - without any handle bar adjustment

On my bench today my bosses ms260 he asked me to give it a service new plug filters ect

this being the first time i had taken this saw apart (the previous dealer used to service it) when i changed the plug i found it was cross threaded cant go and shout at the dealer as the shop closed down !!! Any way managed to get the new plug in then started the saw and bang out flys the plug long story short is it possible to fix with a helicoil ? Or is it new cylinder jobbie ?

A helicoil will be fine. Very easy to do.
