  6. the windvane is connected to the choke shaft there is a bit of adjustment with putting the spring in different holes on the choke / governor lever the governor system was used mainly on the TS350 to presumably prevent "overspeeding" the abrasive disc the Max engine Rpm is 10,000 acording to the WSM but there is no mention of the theory of operation of the governor

  12. Have seen on a 550xp which is basically the same construction the 2 crank fillers have a plastic insert that partially melted and allowed them to rattle against the crank root cause put down to a big-end bearing that nipped and over heated 1 replacement crank assembly later all sorted

  14. if you are getting it dipped check if they are using caustic soda (sodium hydroxide) as this will dissolve the aluminium and release dangerous hydrogen gas
