Got a 026 to look at tomoz. Not starting up, will go to fire but doesn't. It's getting fuel and air filters spark is ok. Havnt taken it down yet. On the to do list.

Sounds like it isn't holding the throttle open on the fast idle start position - try starting it on choke, once it parps, take the choke off but manually hold the throttle open and yank the starter with your left hand - if it goes it may be that.

Have done the MS460 now, pressure and vac tested fine, lots of compression and tached it - ready to go.

Also been working on an 084 that isn't starting when warm and farts and pops when milling - found the rubber mushroom breather was missing and also the plug clip in the spark plug cap wasnt making contact with the inner HT wire. Cleaned the carb and readjusted the metering arm - now fine and gave it a damn good run up tonight - all seems OK but needs a bit of large wood to try it out!

Only got time or a quick look at the 026 today. Tested comp and at 160 psi, carb looked clean with a bit in the qauze filter but nothing special, spark was nice and strong, fuel was getting to plug and making it wet. But still no run, get a put put but no run.

Going to swap the carb from a working ms260 tomoz and try that.

Got given a free blow(er) today aswell ryobi, fuel pipes perrished so changed those and runs like a dream, has never done any work as its spotless, happy days.

I must be going soft or stupid. I very seldom offer to do work whilst a customer waits as often I will be interrupted by the phone or another visitor.

But today a new customer came in to collect 3 saws and brought in his KM90 which would not start and appeared to have no compression. He desperately needed to use it his afternoon.

Anyway, I decided to have a look at it quickly, whipped off the cowl and rocker cover to find the inlet valve jammed open by a misplaced rocker arm. Sprung it back into place, adjusted valves and put covers back. Started first time and ran like a good un. Al in under 10 minutes.

I,ll never get rich at this rate, but its good to be of service.

At least you got a bit back on the three saws you did for him - I'll see you at the gates of Heaven - better than having a red hot poker up your bottom in Hell:thumbup::lol:

A TS350 Super i just picked up off ebay. Intermittent runner, im thinking a good old clean, new filters and maybe a carb kit and she'll be good to go.

Bought it for a one off job, makes it worthwhile at the price i got it for :thumbup1:

Just got a TS360 for a one off.

Got it in the post, stuck some fuel in, started 4th pull :thumbup:

Runs a bit fast on tickover, new return spring needed.

Apart from that it's the best £66 I've spent in a long time.:thumbup1:
