Hi spud I have 3 x 357xp bought new and each one needs 7 pulls with choke out to fire then 3 choke in to run had them 3 plus years now running no problems question is they have never been tuned since new do they need adjusted form factory settings

 

I had a 357xp like this. Went to spud, came back better behaved in the starting department:thumbup1:

Been a while since I have rolled "in to stage" with one of those lights - you should bring your mower up to Santa Pod - only 20 miles north of me:thumbup:

 

Not sure about the mower but may bring the landy. :thumbup::lol::lol:

TS350 - getting there - fuel tank cleaned. Carb off and US'd - what a monster Tillotson carb.

 

Fired it up - clutch wouldn't disengage - opened up - only clutch shoe left on one pad. So will either have to replace the pads or invest in anew clutch? HELP - can't work out how to get the clutch off? theres a sleeve still attached to the crankshaft above the clutch. This is for all intents and purposes a Stihl 08 as far as i can see - haven't been able to track down a service manual for an 08. Any idea how I get this clutch off?

It's been a while since I messed about with one of those orrible things, but looking at the holes in that clutch hub I would think a puller is required.

yeh cheers dan - can see that now - guess i'll try to figure out how to make a puller - not sure that £30 quids worth of tool is gonna get much more use. thanks

I bought this on ebay a few years back.

 

You can probably just get a bit of flat plate, drill it out for the crank and the three holes then fit bolts through the plate and use a three leg puller on it.
