Well I have seen it all now, this rocked up at the workshop today, not sure whether to laugh or cry!:001_rolleyes: Yes - those covers are white:001_rolleyes:

 

Just a Quick tune up then ,says You…It was running fine when i put it away " says He" !!!! :laugh1:

Only one screw to drill. Bottom one is just loose.

 

It's either gonna be a scrapper of get it fixed, depending on cost.

 

I know it's a difficult question, but could you estimate how much you'd charge to sort out the mounts? Maybe with the usual tach and checks? I understand it would strictly be an " estimate"!

 

The one that is good is just a helicoil and fit a new M5 bolt, the other one may be a sod but needs the same if at all possible. Are you sending the whole saw or just the engine?

What happened to Rich2484 that used to post here. The RNLI volunteer. It's nearly a year since he last posted!

Not sure, I know he had some health issues but don't know more than that.

He was posting on the farming forum before xmas , now working at a livery yard.

Anyone know if the 281xp chain adjusting bolt is the same as on a 266/61 as I know that's what the local dealer will have in stock.
