Always said you had a way with words Steve:biggrin:

Yes, Will Shakespear to my friends:lol: Hope you enjoy your new toys, I guess you already have a prime spot on that bench of yours for them:001_rolleyes:

My workshop is beginning to go the same way:lol: I find myself putting tools back in their place now:thumbup:

Amfell got it spot on :thumbup:

There where six models that shared the same chassis and parts but they all had different electronics the 114 was the weakest in the spark department

I've got some parts here if you need any for that saw

I doubt it's worth spending much money on, I'll check if the oil holes line up with the husky bar, use a husky bar plate and make a chain to suit and give it a whirl in the new year in case anyone wants it.

Something more challenging today, helping my 9yr old grandson with the present we gave him.

I wish I had toys like this when I was a kid

Finally got round to stripping down one of my 200T's.

Piston is shot and it looks like it's taken the pot with it.

Can i just slap a new p&p on it or will there likely be damage or fragments in the crank that I'll need to deal with?

I would think you'll have some fragments in the crankcase but maybe not, could be they got fired out the exhaust port.

Could you rinse out the crankcase with diesel a couple of times, blow it out with an airline and give it a quick vac by taping a bit of small bore fuel line or similar to the nozzle on a shop vac?

Ed - I would worry about damage to the rod, crank and both ends with the impact this one has gone through.

Flush the bottom end out then turn the engine over very slowly with the flywheel and clutch off and try to feel any notchy or tight spots.

You can take a punt but take care on the rebuild, if you don't bolt the top end down and spin the saw over, if the cylinder rocks from side to side, the rod is bent:thumbdown:

Got a MS660 in for porting. Normally you expect the donor saw to be in reasonable working order but this one was a bit battered and pretty mucky under the covers.

I removed the clutch drum and this is what greeted me, lots of muck so removed the clutch to find a heavy layer of what resembled gutter sealant. I pulled that much out that I rolled up a ball of it and put it in the photo - looks like a huge rabbit turd but smells of linseed:sneaky2:

I was told by the owner that the saw had been serviced by the outfit that sold it to him.....not sure who I feel more sorry for.....me having to sort it or him having been lied to:thumbdown:
