I know its stating the obvious, but buying a saw from ebay is a risky business. I know some on here have had a good buy, but many, many more are buying problem saws.

I see it from both sides in my shop.

I get folk in with saws just like the one Div has bought

I get folk in with their own non runners, which are beyond their economic limits to repair, who then go off to sell it on the bay as a runner. They even boast to me about how much they got.

Buyer beware.

I know it's a risk you take, my thinking behind it was it's not that old claims it's been used once, but when I checked it over when I got the bar is worn heavy on one side, chain is blunt and really fine dust in and around the whole saw, the pull cord it's worn and frayed. I've had a lot older saws in better nick

The think that's getting me is another few quid would of got me a brand new 1!

Whenever I sell on ebay, each saw gets a video of ot running, no arguments then! I also describe it as it is with any defects noted and pictured!

Seems this guy was less than honouralble and there are many out there, I put it in the shed and it was running but now it won't start is a common one, what they fail to mention is it seized big style before going in the shed!

I usully factor in enough money for a new piston and more if buying anything on the bay, I don't take too much at face value!
