Unfortunately it is difficult to start when warm and did cut out as I was felling a large Beech. Luckily I had the far more reliable 576 handy. I know it seems petty but the quality is just not as it was and it does spoil the appearance of a nice new saw.

At first I thought this was a wind up, but have realised it's actually serious!! My friend the last husky bar I brought ,within a week had no paint left on it.... Maybe there is some serious issues with this saw, most seem very happy with it though, personally though if I brought one I would of spent Saturday morning ringing firewood not quite on full load to bed everything in..this in my experience gets rid of the hard to start and stalling that brand new saws have whilst bedding in, and the saws been run in as the manual describes.

are you serious in concern over a bit of paint on a bar.

If that was what I had to worry about I would of been bald years ago.

Take it back and get it re painted under warranty:biggrin:
