Yeah, looks good.

See how the chute on the Woodsman goes passed the front of the engine housing almost inline with the tow hitch meaning even less chip spillage onto the street as the chips fly into the chipbox, but is that too long?

I always just presumed the reason Euro chipper chutes are so short is because if they became loose whilst being towed they would not be long enough to hit oncoming traffic, seen a few Jensen and Timberwolf chutes loosen up in transit and sit at 90 degress to the road yet they still fall within the basic width of the chipper.

Maybe the US style chutes are too dangerous for UK roads?

Something to think about...

Thanks for the reply.

Did you ever get Bandit to sort the infeed prob out before the above happened.

And did you give em any stick at the APF:001_smile:

They told me they'd change the bottom feed roller for me for a modified one... but, I'd have to get the chipper to them up north somewhere and leave it while they change it.

Knowing it was a waste of time and wouldn't cure the problem I have never bothered, it would have cost me a days wages plus fuel for nothing.

I didn't confront them at the APF but did chuckle a little to see the 65XL they were demo'ing was side on so you couldn't see the feed rollers and the trap door was open underneath.

Obviously the mod doesn't work then.

I'm going to do my own mod this winter when things quiet down a little but at the moment I'm run off my feet.

Well thats customer service for you! No offer of coming to you to repair, since its a fault from the manufacturer :sneaky2:

Or at the very least send you the parts.
