Can anyone recommend me a wirecore flipline?

As above, I have the 11mm commet one and need a new one for an employee, I was all set to get one for him untill I discovered the price!

 

Looking for a nice flexible one with a good feel, any thoughts?

Yale here with a 2-way snap (think they are all 3-way now).

I would just cut a length from an old climbing rope and tell the lad it's got wire in it....

LOL i have just oredered my first ever one from Jonesie today, after cutting yet another split tail.....I have been too tight for years, but this year i have wrecked 3 split tails, so i am taking the plunge. I didnt buy a snap for the end though......I am still to tight for that LOL, so will use a krab and a prussic......I am not even sure which one plippy has put in the bag for me. The cheapest one I think.

Landmark trading do somthing called a swedish strop which is what i use, very basic and heavy duty but its nice to have the weight in the strop to knock bits of epicormic growth out of the way etc when pole spiking. bout 40 quid i think, looks like a shipping cable though!

its only a personal thing but i really dont like swedish strops too heavy and no flex, i got a yale with a snap hook and a rope grab simple and does the job for 2 years now

you cant really beat a swedish strop for spiking up and down poles, but they are a bit cumbersome for anything else. I have a yale one and also an 11mm one from treeworker. rarely use them these days...in fact the treeworker one has only been used once and sat in the garage for the past 5 years

i have a yale 13mm one and use it everytime i climb, i find them flexible enough to be coiled up small enough to not get in the way.
