Good price in scrap cars the now, I got £205 for an old Audi 80 in july. Thats the only place that thing should be they where scrap when they came off the factory line, no offence meant but it's the truth. Mind you stick it on Ebay as the VW fanboys might get all excited about it.

If its been in there along time she's.original and all there I think that you'd be amazed by what beetles are getting. I am a vw nut and have a side line in reproduction panels for watercooled dubers.

my advice would be get it running leave all the surface rust and get it on the road people love that patina look, nice find

yeah your right about scrap alright,

Like i say the chassis is good, shuld really see about that seized engine first.

:thumbup1: the old 'rat look' is cool alright. If that is an optional route to take this project then I've already let time and nature do the business for me :laugh1:

(like you say get that engine ticking over again, buy a few parts

and hammer some old rusty horse shoes onto the front grill)
