You have an accident with that and the H&S inspector is likely to be all over you. First question will be where is your Risk Assesment. No way on earth can that be assessed as safe to use.

That is genius! certainly needs some safety guarding, i am sure some of the engineer guys on here could come up with a similar safer version.

i would love to see that. a safe® version could make someone some serious money

I reckon a mesh cage housing built around the saw bar with a slot cut out on either side to facilitate 'x' size diameter timber and away you go. Obviously managing your cuttings is the biggest issue with regards to slip trip hazards around the cutting zone, but this could be easily achieved.

Looks excellent concept but ditto needs something there. Not so bad when you start with a long branch but the last couple of cuts - that's too sketchy as it stands.

Trouble is when you get tired, it's raining....

But like it!

I liek the idea, but as others have mentioned, it's the last log of each piece that would make me a bit twitchy.

Reckon it could be guarded up fairly easily but liek most stuff - start adding guards and the whole process slows down.

As it is though, I don't reckon it's any more dangerous than using something like a Hy-Crack.
