I went pricing compound bows today....think im going to treat myself as a reward :)

So you're cranky and aggressive from the nicotine withdrawels and now you're looking at buying yourself a lethal weapon?

I know what part of the world I'm going to be avoiding for the forseeable. :lol:

Well done guys.

2 1/2 years down the line for me, and bar the odd drink-fuelled hiccup or spliff I know I've cracked it. I've just spent over a week sitting outside French cafes drinking coffee, beers and wine and didn't even want a Gitane!

I still think the smoking ban was harsh, but it made a lot of sense.

I've put on a bit of weight, but I've increased my bench by 40kg and saved £3700*, so it's a fair trade.

* - not sure where that's gone, mind.:confused1:

Well, another week came and went. Totally forgotten about them now, I thought it would be a lot harder to quit than this. On the beers last week, surrounded by smokers, didnt waver once, a situation I thought I wouldnt be able to handle. I did ask one to blow his smoke the other way as it was right in my face, and he obliged politely and apologetically. So if you're thinking of quitting, it aint so bad honest! :biggrin:

Ok, nearly at the 8week stage. I've found myself being the worlds worst ex-smoker at times, as bad as a religious zealot trying to convert the heathens:biggrin: Now I have calmed down, accepted that I dont smoke and they do, so what? Big deal. I've saved a small fortune not smoking now, I feel around 10years younger, I'm nowhere near as tired as I used to be.

For anyone reading this thread, thinking of quitting, its up to you, you have to want to do it, but when you are ready, give it a try. You dont need a ciggie, you just think you do.

I have been attending the smoking clinic, weekly to start now its monthly, it breaks it up into small targets so you have a visible target to aim at instead of just stopping. You wont get reprimanded for having a crafty fag now and again if you do slip, it entirely up to the individual how they do it.
