You will get a multitude of answers, but in my opinion if you eat rite all the time and train sensible you need nothing else.

Just thought I would get in there early before all the prices and brand name get threw in.

Go for a chocolate milkshake after a work out. It's just as effective, tastes much nicer and is loads cheaper.

The milk contains a decent amount of protein with all the additional vit's and minerals and the chocolate provides readily available carbs.

I read that chocolate milk rehydrates you quicker than water, don't know why and can't remember where I seen the article on it.

I used to train in a gym with some complete meat heads/steroid monkeys that threw shakes down their necks for fun. Costs a load of money and for what... When i was bang into the weights i used to eat porridge for breakfast, pasta with tuna or salmon for lunch, steak/chicken breast, veg and spuds every night with nuts and dried fruit through the day. I could press more, squat more and curl more than any of the sted heads that drank shakes for fun... People underestimate a good diet. And i am NOT by any means calling you a " sted head" button thats just my expierence of it.
