Try Razor wire over the top of the fence. Run the entire length. If you can set up motion activated cameras and record the little punks in the act. Forward this recording to law enforcement. I might also suggest reviewing my thread, means and methods of protecting your kit from theft it may be help full as well. Good Hunting.

There are laws in the UK about razor wire and non drying paint.

You owe a duty of care, even to those not entitled to be on your land. Barb or razor wire has to be out of the normal reach and clearly marked. If you don’t the scrotes you were trying to exclude can hire an ambulance chaser to sue you.

It’s a piss poor state of affairs but that’s the way it is.

If anyone is considering non drying paint you can make your own by adding regular engine oil to any oil based paint you have left over. Way cheaper than the proprietary brands. (don’t forget to put a sign up)

A customer of mine who had been burgled nailed barbed wire along the top of his 6ft high fence, as there is a public path running along the side of his fence some nice person noticed it and reported it to the police. He was told to remove it or face prosecution. The great british legal system?

I beleave that its an offence to have barbed wire higher than 1 meter if beside a public path.

And this is why our legal system is a complete joke. Who else other than a thief would be trying to scale a 6ft high fence? I am led to believe that if the thief was to injure himself he could sue the homeowner. We live in a crazy country

That’s not right.

The wire needs to be higher to prevent accidental contact

The local borough council made a local land owner reduce a 5 foot barbed wire fence down to 1 metre. He had fenced in both sides of a footpath running through his grounds.Thats all i know mate.

our legal system really is a joke, think about if these people do get sent to one of the holiday camps we call prison and they turn on their plasma tv to watch a program about some old pensioner in a care home. How much is that pond life going to be laughing at the poor old pensioner thats lucky if he even gets 3 square meals a day! then the scumbag will settle down to play his playstation and smoke a spliff while dreaming of the next robbery when he gets out :cursing:

ok rant over but i would say spiked pits on your side of the fence and a sign saying "enter at your own risk scumbag" on the outside.
