Got my earlier this year. When you write the tree inspections be very methodical and fill it with great detail. My tutor told me , write the inspection as if you would give it to any tree surgeon and without looking at the tree they would KnoW exactly what state the tree is in and what its dimensoins are.

BE METHODICAL.

lOOK AROUND THE TREE AREA TOO NOT JUST THE TREE IN THE TEST,they will be looking at indirect observations effecting the test tree.

Best of luck:001_smile:

I've just had confirmation of my place on the one next week with the AA after someone dropped out.

I was chatting to a guy today and he was saying look at areas like

Tree Dynamics

Self optimising structures

Axiom of uniform stress

Apart from the Fungi what areas should i be hammering next week?

Finally

Does the tee inspection include the drawing up of a three inspection sheet or do they give you one already? if its the former anyone got a .pdf they can send me as the one we have at work is basic and quite generic?

Thanks

I did mine couple of months ago and all the stuff about self optimisation and axioms of uniform stress are covered in the course syllabus.

We were given tree inspection sheets to complete, but you can use your own.

The last time I did anything like this was doing my ND back in 1988-91, and I passed it ok.

Good luck.

Hey up,

I failed my PTI first time round (63%), inspections and fungi ident's were great my let down was the written exam, I found the wording difficult to decipher, has anyone got any links or the like for me to be able to tackle some example questions? I felt that the wording was at a higher level than I've studied at i.e. university level whereas I maxed out at A level and ND.

Any help would be greatly appreciated as I'm hoping to be re-taking it asap
