Hows the log sales going now

You sound like a busy man! Especially juggling logs and lambing which let's face it are both very time consuming. But that is the main attraction of a kiln that if you do well and sell most if your dry stock it's only a matter of a week and you can re supply customers with dry logs. We had it when we first started that the first 3 seasons we ran out of dry logs so just had to say we have logs but they're not really ready to burn, some people went else where others bought them and dried them in front of their fire before burning and others bought them to store and use the following year. What it has done is a lot of those people now buy and stock up during summer and early winter

Did 7 cube yesterday so nothing like your scale but good for our little set up.

30 1.2 cubic metre loads a week on average since early september. Up about 6/7 loads a week on last year.

Averaging about 80 cube a week at the moment. Ticking over nicely

We're doing around 50-60cube a week which is our aim. Would like to do slightly more but we're not pushing it became we're at drying capacity.

Doing about 10-15 cube at the moment which is fine as we're trying to get our upgraded kiln built. Not doing any advertising at all either, all via word of mouth and from stove installers.

 

Once the kiln is done I want to be at least double I would think.

We are very pleased with sales so far this winter. Nicely up on last year. We did our best day ever today on deliveries.
