This is my 3rd year doing firewood and its been the worst yet, im really not selling anything right now. I think its a combination of the mild weather and the fact that oil prices have dropped so much. The only wood I seem to be selling is my unprocessed wood/cordwood/arb waste/whatever you want to call it, so at least im getting rid of the timber somehow.

I'm afraid you have to market the firewood more and more as you said oil price& mild weather has not helped. The woods not going out as quick as I expected it to but lorries are coming and we're delivering at a steady rate. Customers are getting more organised and order in advance so the diary a pretty full till mid Jan.

Bit of snow & ice would certainly help things along.

Orders are comming in still so happy. Trade is good though heating oil price has had an effect. Get couple of days off then back in to the grind. :001_smile:

maybe with this type of enquiry you could put the price up then at least you have been well paid :thumbup1:

That's a good point, try getting an emergency delivery of oil or an emergency plumber, neither will be the "normal" price....
