I went down yesterday, my first Arb Show, and it was great, loads of stuff I hadn't seen much of before, enjoyed the demos, although I didn't see the cherrypicker one, that sounds a bit dubious. Got some nice new boots from Lister Wilder, and I want every single book from the TreeSource tent haha.

Wow, now that is spectacular! If you ever get call to go up it again give me a shout, might have to practice my SRT a bit first, once I've bought a kit that is!!

One thing of note though.....for the past few years all people have done is complain about the lack of camping at the show. The AA recognized this and acted on it, including moving the whole show site over....no small feat. This was supported by just 12 tents pitched up!

I sure that there were more than 12 tents. May be that how many actually paid.

I'd like to thank Timbertim and slackmygirdle for supplying me with drinks around the camp fire on Friday night. There was only so much I could pack on the bike and cider didn't quite make my essentials list. Cheers.

Well I thought it was a fantastic show, the layout was much inproved and as said, brought with it a nicer atmostphere. I cant really criticize anything about this event, yes the food was expensive but when isnt it at these types of events?

Having read the threads on Arbtalk moaning about the lack of camping in previous years I pushed quite hard for the on site camping at the post show meeting in 2011. The AA listened and supported the idea .............What happened to you all?

The shower block alone cost the AA about £800 for the weekend and as Steve said pitching costs on 12 tents returned £120. I'm not sure they will be offering this again next year unless more of you pledge your support for next year.

What else do you want to see at the show how can we make it better? Any ideas? Maybe we need a pole on here for ideas to improve the show.

It all comes down to money Nick for me. Even if I camped trips down south would cost me around £300 without buying goodies .

We have just booked our family holiday and the weather has really affected work this year. If I take the van my wife doesn't have a vehicle for 3 days as I put my jeep off the rd to save costs.

Going to justins tho :)
