i alway have a first lucky throw, and if that does not work then it normally take about twenty minutes to get the branch that i want. If all else fails i resort to the bag of rods with the hook!

I swing it 1 handed on my right hand side with a loop through the ring. I find that if i swing it more then about 5 times I end up throwing it about 15ft too high

Nice steady swing, not to much force, release the string just as your hand is pointing just above your target. Give yourself time, if you miss just be patient, make minor adjustments in your position/stance, and it'll go..........eventually.:001_smile:

I hardly use them but when i do, if i am being a bit girly and worry about getting it stuck or something it goes hay wire, if i just go for it i nail it, i did a peach a few months back, was just short of 70 feet and for me thats HUGE, with a tiny wee fork. The spikes stayed in the bag that day:lol:

I also have got the bag, string and plastic reel stuck about 30 feet up once before i got a cube:blushing:

If you would like to contribute to making this industry more effective and safe then welcome.
Just like a living tree, it'll always be a work in progress.
