Pete, how can I turn the quality down, its coming off VHS so it aint good in the first place! My computer is storing it as an MPG ( at 742MB) but its still VHS quality.

 

Its only 15-20 minutes, I'll have a go at recording short section.

 

If nothing else, at least I try to create some suspense!!!!

does your computer or editing software not give you the option of saving it as a different file format?

even windows moviemaker will give you about 20 save options, with the ability to compress it right down.

My first mobile phone was a big battery pack with a carry handle and the phone sat in a cradle ontop.

 

Thought I was the bee's knees carrying that around £30 a month plus 50 pence per minute

yep, we had one of them too. Analogue rsignal too, used to go all crackly.
