Profit for big companies at the expense of our taxes- discuss

people who use biomass need to be a bit smarter instead of using valuable wood as I have seen they need to try and use less useful stuff.

 

or buy a few fields plant it up full of stuff like sycamore cut it after ten years and itll grow in no time at all. but as usual its all rushed etc

I would of thought we had plenty of chestnut coppice here in Kent to help support the biomass market, don't forget that the pulp mill at Kemsley used to take 250,000 tonnes of it a year out of Kent and East Sussex before they closed Kemsley down.

maybe we do but theres still alot of woodman trying to make monney soley on chesnut and the good sites are being taken for biomass maybe this is just a local thing to me i dont know

absolutely. Round us, the price of a hilux load has only gone up around £10-£15 since I stopped selling logs and that was when roundwood was £17/tonne roadside
