Nobody enjoys paying a tax bill but just remember you're paying for the roads you drive round on; the schools your kids go to; the hospital that patches you up when you fall out of a tree; the basic pension your mum/gran gets -- and a lot more besides. It's pretty good value really when you think what it's like living in some countries.

 

Never resent paying your tax bill.

Now paying about 5k per year in employers national insurance, which is just a tax on jobs. I pay a few grand in corporation tax and hopefully no personal tax at all, apart from a wee bit of NI. Also a net payer of vat of course.

 

If you factor in what my employees pay in tax ( which I collect for the government free of charge) and fuel duty, then I reckon my little firm pays Mr Osbourne 35k each year.
