im kinda thinking along the same lines as you treetop1, but agree with skyhuck, very hard at the moment, i just got some simple buisness cards made up, for friends and family, that spread kinda well, but word of mouth is the best way and its free! but keep at it if you really want it mate. Im saving hard for my own gear, not easy atall at the moment, but my attitude is.. Rome wasnt built in a day... best of luck mate.

i set up last November mate, doing quite a bit of sub contracting, and glad to as private work is low, same on the advertisement front though mate local parish mag £38 a yeah and yell.com £68 a month word of mouth (PRICELESS), but good luck to you mate if you are, i'm just going to work hard at it use all i got and all i know.

I've been running my business for seven years (and its going quite well) but knowing what I now know, I wouldn't set up my own business these days. No Way!

 

Much to much aground and 'competition' from gypos and 'professionals' who can't do professional work.

Profit margins become tighter all the time.

 

My advice is to either write apps for iPhones etc or be a computer hacker. That's what I would do, if I knew anything at all about computers.
