Log book says '78, certainly after '75 'cos it's electric start.

 

Bit of a grey area as its imported from the UK.

 

As for the pipes, I want to keep it standard.

 

Thought I could just make out the starter above the gearbox. Norton made a neater job of the electric start than Triumph did back then, I think triumph put it in front of the crankcase and it messed up the shape of the engine casing.

 

Nowt wrong with standard, I just always liked the look of the SS Commando.

Always like the Commando and the Bonnie, never owned either and guess I never will now, just have to make do with my retro Bonneville Scrambler, Brit Iron, made in Thailand LOL :biggrin:
