Now you don't see many of these flying around here now do you :confused1::confused1:

 

Black turkey from Central America. Saw hundreds in Belize recently but never expected them to be flying around Batsford Arboretum!!!! (they were roosting there to escape being part of a falconry display nearby :lol:)

just a couple of a butterfly, and one of a swan,not very good images:blushing: and image quality is not the best, but better than nothing i suppose:001_rolleyes:

just a couple of a butterfly...

 

That's one of my faves :thumbup:. Orange tips are one of the first butterflies to emerge and are a sure sign that spring has arrived. We still get quite a lot of them around this aways, which is surprising considering how urbanised we are. Nice post.

Wasnt an Orange tip :001_tt2: Its a Green-veined White. Although Orange-tip butterflies feed of mainly Garlic Mustard and are the only larval food plant. Other whites use them as a source of larval food as it is a member of the Brassicae family.:thumbup:

It's a female orange tip, trust me :biggrin:

Just looked at pic again and your right.:blushing: Thought my butterfly ID was better but infact its rather rusty.:lol:

That sounds like a perfect excuse to get out into the wilds for a bit of fiels study :biggrin:
