Most are paired up here and have seen some ducklings on the river ( not the full quota I suspect )  but there are still a few " threesums " flying about .

Saw a group of 3 drakes and 1 hen running about on the lawn earlier today.

On my driveway at the weekend there were two drakes wrestling each other and the duck standing demurely in the middle of the road waiting for the winner. I could have walked over and picked up the boys they were so intent on fighting !

Saw a very relaxed deer on the walk tonight not far off the path.

And the OH found a little shrew hanging around in the sun on the patio today, she gave it some strawberry and popped it into a hole in the stone wall but it must have been poorly, no longer with us.
