Best way of selling your made furniture

Made some of these out of a beam that twisted as i milled it, so no good for wot i wonted it for. Gave a few to friends as presents but having seen how much they are selling them for will add them to my craft range of things. Also I wish I could sell my mushrooms for that sort of money!!!

Love the furniture Rob especialy the solid sofa, the wife now wonts 1 of these for a comunity school thingy she is involved with.

wot was the resin you used to stabalise the soft timber?

I waas at a big agricultural / general auction the other day. there was a set of 5 "mushrooms" going under the hammer. didn't even make £15.

I was going to say some of those tables are fantastic, but it should be all of that furniture is excellent.

your furniture is superb. I dont know if i would have the finesse or patience to make stuff like that.

 

 

what little i have made tends to be more rough and ready. here is a workbench i made for myself but then ended up selling to a customer who took a shine to it.

 

all milled with 36" alaskan fitted with my trusty sachs dolmar 153 with 30" bar.

 

timber is spruce / scots pine / douglas fir. all firewood lengths that were too big to go thru the Hakki

That's better joined than most of my stuff!

 

The resin is a polyester type that is UV activated. You can also use it with a catalyst.

 

It's ok but tends to pull away from the wood a bit as it expands and contracts.

Yet those same mushrooms at the right show or shop would make £50 each.

 

It all comes down to being able to get your wood in front of the right people... making it is actually the easy bit.
