its all to do with the size of your plumbs

 

the bigger the number the bigger the plumbs

 

only joking i run a u900 and

 

na maybe thats right

 

only joking its basically a relation to the horse power. ie U1000 = 100hp, u1600 = 160hp (altho thats not quite true as the u1600 can be upto about 210hp ish)

 

also the 50 or L on the end of the number means its a long wheel base

On the square cab models, the even numbers (1000,12000,1400,1600) are smaller chassis and are about the same width as a transit, so they will go most places.

 

The odd numbers are larger (1300,1500,1700,2100) chassis, over 8 feet wide.

 

There are exemptions, such as the 2400.

they are the same mate, well the chip boxes swap over. There is just so much more room in the cabs of the square cabs

 

cheers man, does the 1000 sit higher than your 406 then? as it just "looks" bigger it may be an optical illusion.
