How hungry must beeches be to start munching away at a stone ?

This reminded me of a job I done a few months back of a large oak with severe die back, whilst dead wooding discovered a large stone (size of my fist) in a fork of a limb(60ft up) groundy's thought i was taking the proverbial when I dropped it down shall try and find the pics :blushing:
