timberwolf tw150 service & blade change

Lifting off the springs, and lifting the feed roller up is easy. You do have to be right above the roller box to get a straight lift though.
 
I must have changed the blades more than 150 times, I’ve done that every time.
 
I never torqued them either, clean them up nice and put them back tight.

Same here. Never a problem.

A short piece of batter placed on blade and then turn fly wheel so it comes up to housing 

New thread may start how quick can you change 150 chipper blades.

I always used to set the ratchet so that it settled on the bottom of the “window” when tightening and the top when loosening.

 

in that way the flywheel wouldn’t turn.

A little bit off topic but still regarding Timberwoolf 150.

 

Does anybody have any advice on repairing my chipper, the engine is running fine but the rollers are not turning in ether direction, Im guessing its something to do with the connection feeding the control box? 

 

It was working fine half hour before it happened.

Is it the little black relay, clean or replace only a couple of quid at a local motor parts dealer ?

Thought that was the forward latch relay (only affecting the forward rollers) I had the relay fail but only affected in feed not reverse. Unless there is another relay I’ve missed...

I think you're right. Been a while since mine went?

Could be a knackered switch, but unlikely both forward and reverse be not working at same time. Maybe a loose connection?
