i am giving the exact same bags a try this year to they are bigger than thoses ,(seed potatoe bags) slightly bigger 1 and half ton of seed pots in a bag but i dont think i will put the logs in until mid summer

Funnily enough I was cutting/splitting/stacking logs for next winter today. We burn a heck of a lot in the house on the rayburn so right now not sure how much I will have available for sale. Also haven't yet been able to get a yard :mellow:

If you split it now should be ok. It goes very light when dried out.

beggars cant be choosers but if its felled just lying their < a minutes walk away from storage then :thumbup:

cant say i`ve seen seasoned willow burning but its hardwood so,,,,

its alder from a huge wind break that we took down from an orchard, we burnt most on site:confused1:

 

I cant remember which alder or elder one of them wont burn easily. Looked like nice wood though

I thought i should say something as I remember towing at least 2.5tonnes of maple back from London about 70 miles. A year later it must have weighed 200kg max and i put most of it on the fire in the garden :lol:

Willow is ok spits a bit mix it with something else.
