Not had a Patrol so cant really give opinion just what i have heard. I did test drive one and nearly bought. I thought as capable as a Landcruiser without the price tag or bills. I would rather an 8 year old patrol than a new pickup :thumbup1:

Passed 3 kaki green Nissan Patrol escorting a Securicure money wagon through Donegal earlier today. The Nissan Patrol is the 4x4 of choice for the Southern Irish Army. They have loads of them and have used them for years

Our new landy pulls 3.5. Updated springs means we can put 1.5t in the back and it sits down an inch or two.

I've had a bit more than I should in our 12ft ifor trailer. Bit more than the landy was rated to. It pulled itself home from Bradford. I didn't want to attempt the weighbridge!

Wow, I bet that was a cool sight. It is a big slugger, when I first got it I thought it was slow and quite loud but once I got into the way of driving it I love it, but I have 3 other vehicles just now and needs must.

just be careful lads when towing 3,5 ton and thinking you can carry a ton on board as well (pick ups etc) believe it or not you will be over weight. vosa etc if they pull you over they go off gross train weight and the weight on each axcles independently, we were pulled over couple weeks back with a ranger and 10ft ifor tipper, we had a full pack of rails on and we were only just in our legal limits, thats carrying nothing else.

yes, and that was taking into account 3ton towing limit, technically we could carry another ton on the bed but legally you cant, im just saying, be aware.
