If I have to pull 3.5 tonnes from one end of the uk to the other without effort there is only one vehicle we use Landcruiser Amazon.

Very true, and the same principle that artics work on, however many towbars are only rated at 150kg nose weight....

izusu grafter tipper truck. . . . . or the izusu rodeo can legally pull 3.5t the tipper can also leggally carry 1.5 tonne on the back. . . . tis a beast

Another thing that hasn't been mentioned is weight tranfer.By using an adjustable height tow bar you can transfer say 500kg on to the back axle of the towing vehicle to give traction and stability.

So your quite happy to double the rated capacity?

 

What about the hitch on the trailer?

HI yes ive got a mate with a amazon good truck BUT NO GOOD ON SMALL ROADS IN SOMERSET i had i a TD5 CHIP TOO 200HP PLUS 330 LBS TQ it was a good truck but if it was me a range rover sport v8 just the job BUT WITH DEV £1.40 LT NO GOOD get a mog mate jon

The recommended nose weight for the trailer hitch is 150kg.

 

Obviously on a public road you have to be sensible but off road I will raise the hitch if I think I need to - Getting stuck would be embarassing

the neighbour came round this morning needing a hand starting the tractor, ended in me pulling the 6ton john deere plus attachment up a steep gravel slope with the 110, just a bit of wheelspin and got it going. all you ranger drivers can stick that in yer pipe and smoke it..!
