Right this should probably be in chain saws but seeing as its about the most important peice of kit we use ive put it here....today i purchased a 388 to replace my main ms200t that i hurled out of a tree in anger...its a 07 and has had 2 carbs and has been lightly worked the final straw was after spending over £150 of new parts on it 2 weeks ago it continued to be a moody heap...any way ive brought the husky to replace ....im worried about the change but after the crap ive had with my last 200t im hoping its the best decision ive made.....oh and im very aware of how bad the 355 was when it came out as i brought one then but this looks a promisingly better saw than the anticipated junk we all tryed and hated ....plus any things gotta be better than buying a new carb every 8 months!

IMO, you have been hasty, the 2008 ms200's are fine, I have one and its spot on!

I am lucky I have a very good dealer, he fitted new old model carbs, within the first week, to the last two saw I bought before my latest.

Hope your new saw works out.

yeah ficus i mean 338! ill get a new carb for my 07 200t and the broken bits where i chucked it....i just fancied a change, straight away i can tell the 338 is nose heavy...what annoyed me most is the last 3 200's ive brought they seem to be getting shorter in life span although im looking after them better!...its going to be interesting to work with a new saw having used the stihls for years anway
