I've been doing this for a while now, i have never had an inspection, i don't know anyone who has had an inspection. Maybe things are different in different areas but If anyone has had an inspection i'd love to know what they said etc.

Mmmmm!

I did get a visit following such a letter. Turned out it was a "friendly neighbour" that reported me.

The visit was on the basis of storage of chemicals, equipment and fuel, not particularly on working practice.

Hopefully now i'm on the list of "once visited" i wont get another visit:sneaky2:

I,ve had one of them, got reported for running an engineers shop from home.

he knew it was a malicous call and said to me nodding his head, "your a model engineer aren,t you?"

After a few seconds it clicked. "Oh! Yes" I said.

"and this is your hobby isn't it" , he said, again nodding his head.

"yes it is" I agreed.

Right, you'll not have another visit from us, we have got better things to do with our time, like dealing with reports of burnt out cars in front gardens.

He was anice man.

Went to a day in Canterbury a few years back.

Was very good to be honest well run lots to see and talk over.

If you can and have the time just go along.

Right so you think it's worth making the effort.

Thanks for your feed back, think I'll try to attend and show willing:001_cool:

I went this morning too,as you said complete waste of time, i got the feeling that the instructors did 'nt want to be telling us what to do, so just kept everything vague.

Went to the afternoon session, should of been longer on each section in my opinion.

But even if it had been there would probably be no difference in the answers and as for the folder contents the majority was old hat really:thumbdown::bored:

I think it was a bit of a missed oppertunity really for the HSE to put across a clear message about what they are looking for from the arb industry and for us to be able to discuss that. Instead all we got was how to do a pre start check on a saw
