The Lineboss and Lockjack only work on doubled ropes.

the Unicender works on single ropes and goes up and down without a changeover.

Anything that could cause a mechanical device to fail could cause a hitch to fail. Dismissing something because it's complex isn't realistic. Would anyone give up their mobile and go back to rotary dial phones? Fuel injection for carbs?

The more complex an item, the more likely it is to fail.As the more systems required for its function increase the number of things that could go wrong.

My mobile phone malfunctions almost daily.

I see what people are saying about not over-complicating things. However, surely a decade ago some of the stuff people use regularly now must have looked like new-fangled over-complicated rubbish.

I would like to try one and then make a decision.

....not for $425 though...

i bet the prussik didnt bind up in the wet like it did on multiplat though?

Your right. I could achieve some proper warp speed bail outs on 3 strand. It used to go shinier and harder the more you did it.

I remember a particularly rapid descent off an 80 foot pole at the pole climbing championships, my 3 strand prussik fell into about 20 smoking pieces in my hand at the bottom :D
